            Death toll now up to at leat 9 killed, hundreds injured. Crash was caused by an SUV placed on the tracks. Looks like it was deliberate; whether it was a simple suicide by train or something larger is unclear at this time...

                      Sad news The creator of this havoc is still alive so he can be charged, and have to deal with angry family members, and sense a whole lot of guilt. He really deserves it

                          A 26-year-old man has been taken into police custody over the incident.

                          Police allege he manoeuvred his jeep onto the tracks, wanting to end his life.

                          However he is said to have changed his mind, got out his car and stood by as the train struck it.
