  • DVD +R or -R? That, is the question.....

Figured I would throw this out there to get some opinions. Which format of writable DVD's is better, and why? +R or -R? One is sure to become the BetaMax of DVDs and I would rather not buy that version if you know what I mean.

I have a few thousand images to archive and CD's are just not cutting it any more, and I would like to edit some Digital Video onto DVD as well.

Let's hear it, pro's and cons.......

I dont have a clue what +R and -R are
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

Kat, they are the two different formats of recordable DVD. Each is fighting to become the only format of recordable DVD in the market.

I'd say +R then. If its got some extra 'R', i guess that can only be good!

Silly Girl! :P What if "R" is a bad thing?

I'll soon find out. They have a writer that does both formats, so I guess if one becomes the "norm" then I am safe. Unless of course, some other format takes over!

R cant be a bad thing, as it obviously stands for Recordability! The more of that, the better!
