I'd rather not stay at any of them. I can't stand Vegas. Period. My cousins stayed at Mandalay Bay and they said there was a line to get into the pool. They were not pleased.

Hey I don't mind about that, I just want a nice view of the airport in a nice hotel. I'm there for a hockey tournament so I have hockey games (1 per day, starting on the 18th and ending on the 21st), but my family and I are going to do other things around the city like take tours and whatnot. And then my dad may take me to LAS to go spotting because I'd like that and none of my hockey teammates will be there! (haha sorry, we hate our team )

I'll tell my mom about calling them to see about the AAA discount.

When I went to Vegas, all the shows were full even for weeks in the future. Luckily, I will be going to Broadway today, and seeing one of them I didn't see.

None of them, if still in existence, I would pick up either
          - one of the motels clustering opposite the Luxor and along Mac Carran storage area !
or the Hacienda, near runways 25/07 & 19/01

          Thanks for visiting

Better not. The military has spy cameras in the hotel rooms to see who takes pics of their operation .

The Hacienda is gone and the Mandalay Bay is on that site.

Too far away from everything else. The Riv and Stratosphere are about a 10 minutes walk from the Sahara. I liked staying @ The Riv last year, but their rates have doubled compared to last year. Plus I hung out @ The Westward Ho's casino more than I did the Riveria's casino (The W.H. has some great drink deals!!!!! and some pretty good slots). I'm not one of the types that needs a 4 star room, and plus the trek to the elevators got old after awhile.

True, though the Sahara is on the tram route. Just found it for $39/night on travelworm.com.

Yeah, if and when the Monorail is up and running. It seems to be out or service more than it has been in service. It's been running fine recently, but who knows how it'll be from day to day.

Plus, I rent a car and do most of my venturing around Vegas before 3 pm, because after 3 pm, the Strip traffic just simly sucks.

If you can find a good discounted rate (which is incredibly easy for Vegas), it'll probably be better than the AAA rate anyway.
