Your absolutly right..... you cant even compare them!!!! I shoulda picked somthing more formidable in the off-road capable market..... The Luxury suvs ( like the Lexus) will perform off road.... the jeep doesnt fare so well on road.... I love my jeep but I must admit Id rather have one of those new Land Rover Range Rovers...... That way I could sell it and get a new Wrangler Rubicon, and a Jeep Liberty ( cherokee overseas) CRD....( Common Rail Diesel).... Diffrent strokes diffrent strokes I guess..... Or maybe Im just too poor to ever have one of those Lux " SAV " models......

I would rather drive a 350Z, or Altima <----(Which i will be getting soon)rather than go off road. Or drive my car onto a snow pile in some parking lot

JJR - When they were doing the tests on the X5, they said it was like a big 5 series rather than an SUV...which says alot...Your jeep could run circles around it off road, but would be eaten alive on....

You should put some money into your jeep raise it up abit.....bigger tires...

You could always smash it up and call MTV for Pimp My Ride....

Cameron, not cheap unless you own one yourself. The cheapest I'd get for $700 is the 3 inch body lift kit, but I've been looking for the 6 inch kits on ebay and it's well, pricey...as for tires, you'd be looking at paying $300 each for good decent off-road/on-road all terrain.

Didn't know you had an auto in yours JJR. I got to get my hands on a Rubicon edition at the Chicago Auto Show. The new 6 spd Mercedes-hand-me-down manuals are pretty f'n sweet.

I really don't understand why anyone would like to own one of those luxury fake off-road cars, they are a b!tch to drive in the city's, and if you want to do some off-roading in it, you better bring someone in a Land rover (or something like that) with a winch to pull you along because those things will get stuck every few yards.

If you want a off-road vehicle at least buy one that really can get off road..

                              but thats just my opinion

(I really love Humvee's, not the civillian "chrome and other useless stuff" hummer versions, the military one )
