  • BettER late than nevER, WintER takes its quartERs here !

    Starting this morning at 5 am with heavy snowfalls, the Parisian area woke up under a 2inch(5 cm) layer of snow and temps of - 5 clesius. By North America standard is not much, but this was enough to yield 300 km (180 miles) in traffic jams on the regional and suburban roadways to Paris !

    Do you have any pictures? I'd like to see that. Paris in the snow.

    How about a picture of Gander in the snow?

      You're lucky that the snow is staying. Here in hamburg it has been snowing all friggin' day, but not even a thin snow cover is left.

          Sorry, no pics, sky too dark grey, I haven't a digital camera and owing to the color of the sky, I am not sure I would have pictured something.

          @Colin
          Don't dispair, we had got this kind of snow fall for 6 days during the past week ! There also the fact that Hamburg is pretty close to the big blue and some incurring micro phenomenoms. Despite they got the same temps, Rouen and LeHavre are snow bare.

            We have been having snow on and off for the past 3 days, it has stuck a couple of times, but not thick enough to make a snowman - Yet, thick enough to make me fall!

                    Much melted since. Still quite a few parts in parks, on roof tops and more still resisting melt ! But today's forecasts promise another fall, and a heavy one stretching from late afternoon/early evening until 3/4.00am next night. Hahaha.
