Anyone play Counter Strike or Battlefield?

I got it dowloaded and installed, but now when I try to load a game it just crashes to the desktop. Any ideas?

What is the desert combat mod? Is it an expansion like Secret Weapons?

I love playing BF w/ Desert Combat mod.... you'll find me charging the front and serving the enemy tanks with mines like a waiter at a chilis!! Need to get back into CS.... miss the "fun" and shotting the poor soul who steps to that infamous mic, sings elvis and dies!!

What is the desert combat mod? Is it an expansion like Secret Weapons?

I have Secret Weapons for it, and those are nice, although I haven't been able to find the jetpack. Also when trying to connect to play online the connection timed out. Oh well.

But I wish the game had more weapons such as flamethrowers and allow you to pick weapons up from dead soldiers, and add more vegetaion, for example Guadalcanal should be full of vegetation, instead of basically a green field.

Battlefield 1942 is awesome. I beat the missions however and my multiplayer lags terribly. I just started playing some CS and it's a fun game, the problem was that I was on a laptop and it as lagging with bots.

Counter Strike was fun from versions 1.1-1.4 after 1.4 it got over-hyped...and boring.

I have played de_dust like 20,000 times...I hope I never see that map again.


Battlefield 1942 had a great idea and is fun, but its way too buggy and laggy. Plus the guns suck.


Like I said...Dod Source will be the best thing since Half-Life 2.
