Despire my best efforts, I've never managed to make work trips ouit that way work out when the Stampede is on. I've missed the last three, maybe this year!

It's a nice city, but doesn't seem to have alot of action. Whats with all the stores closing at 6pm!? That's odd

Atleast the ones around The Sandman Downtown (where I usually stay).

Bass Bros in Kensington make the best Halibut I've ever had though

Yeppers, and those young guys who don't speak French are usually more than happy to learn to please their french girlfriends

Come to Montreal!!! It's definitely worth a visit. Stroll along St-Catherine St., the underground malls. Old Montreal is nice, though not much to do at this time of the year (mostly summer outdoor cafes etc.), but still a nice change from the typical bland North American metropolis. Also the casino, clubs, bars (St-Denis St. and Prince-Arthur, though I'm not sure what's it like in winter). If you're looking for a white winter, then it's been snowing heavy all day today....you can also go skiing up north to the Laurentians (St-Sauveur region is nice).

Like others have said, Quebec City is also worthwhile.

In case you've wondered, no worries about understanding French, since most Montrealers these days are perfectly bilingual.

Lemme see... you post something about your school's drinking records, then proceed to say "she's not as hot as I remember her" ... do you actually remember her?

Come to Canada...Eh! Ya, I'm not to sure about Montreal, but Quebec City is AMAZING! I've been there twice and can't get enough. But I bet Montreal is really nice...a french version of Toronto!

Downtown Montreal has something both pro and cons, half of the city is at underground level.

Have you been to Winnipeg? Downtown is crime heaven. No thanks. I was scared to death just walking four or five blocks at night the last time I was there.

Waist of time, nothing to see here except Citadel Hill, MK airline memorial, and swissair 111 memorial, oh yeah public gradens. Thats about it, The flight here is nice on any approach, but like I said, dont waist your time.

BTW, Montreal Is a nice city, you could drive out to Mirabel, and the apprach on any runway in foggy or over cast weather is sweet.

Having been to Montreal many times, I'd say it's worth a visit. It's quite a nice city.

But if you are going for the European flair, you should definitely go to Quebec City. It's beautiful there!
