I would have to disagree with that statement that she made completely. I think God created Sept. 11 for our nation to turn our eyes from immoral things and turn them to him.

    My thought for the day:

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.

    Psalm 33:12

    Respectfully

P.S. I might add that I am a Christian. Baptist (GARBC) affiliated.

Yes, I see what you are saying, Jeff. All I heard in Geography was that the number of people with no religion is at an all time high, and the USA does indeed have a declining number of christians.

But those were just notes given from a teacher at high school...

O.K. let's try this again.... is the number of people without religion a percentage higher of the overall population? Or Just a larger number of people overall?

Same goes for the declining number of Christians...

Not that I care, I am just trying to show you the way someone can manipulate numbers to prove a point one way or the other.

With the standard Monday to Friday work week slowly becoming a thing of the past, many traditions, both social and cultural are declining. The weekends used to be Saturdays and Sundays; now the weekend is whenever you have time off from work. Church attendance jumped after 9/11, but has fallen since then. With the busy lives that our modern society has created, some aspects of our lives that used to be practically mandatory (like attending religious services) are being sacrified because of other commitments. I can't even remember the last time I attended a church service (probably been close to 10 years), and last religious in nature service I attended was a friend's funeral about 2 years ago (and the Priest's service for it actually reinforced why I don't attend Church). While I do somewhat believe in a Divine Enitity (If they created Us, who created them?), I am rather anti-religion because of things done "In the Name of God/Allah/Etc." Religion has killed too many people in its' name to justify it.
