  • The "idenify this airport" game

I hope this is in the right section...

    Ok, round one.

    The rules are simple:

    1. Post an aerial photo of a section of the mystery airport. I used Google's new satellite mapping feature for mine, you can use whatever you want, as long as it shows a section of airport, that enables others to identify that airport. Remember to respect copyright!

    2. Give a clue as to which CONTINENT the airport is on.

    3. Everyone else guesses what airport it could be. Once the airport has been identified, we move on to the next picture.

Don't make it too difficult, but don't make it too easy either. When answering, give ONE answer per post, and NOT a list of 20 airports that you think it could be. And when necessary, name the source of the picture so as to respect the author/owner's property.

    OK?

    Here goes...

Guess this North American airport (picture from Google's satellite mapping section):

            DFW???

I know nothing about American airports, so a stab in the dark.

DFW is slightly warmer than Florida geographically speaking.

Here's a hint: You're looking at most, if not all of the gates at the main terminal...

Damn, I can only come up with airports which are wrong. Somewhere in the Northwest US?
And it isn't IAH, the concourses there are straight, not curved.

Was my first guess as well, but TUS's terminal has more the shape of a curved X.

DAL767-400ER mentioned something that was getting a little warmer, but not quite warm enough yet...

This layout .... reminds me of Calgary which looks pretty similar. The two jetties, and the somewhat typical regional ramp.
