Alright, the headlights have a SLIGHT similarity. But the front grill is totally different. I think the Jetta is a bit longer? the ride is a night and day difference, so is the interior. Both are good cars, its depends on how much you want to spend and how much you can afford.
..... For the people who own the corolla here, please dont start a flame war in this thread.

The picture of the Corolla interior you've shown there is not of the 2005 Corolla.
This is what the '05 Corolla interior looks like:
