This weekend in Sunderland I'm going to Radio1's Big Weekend. It's Europe’s biggest free festival, the line up includes Gwen Stefani, The Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs, the bravery and heaps more...

I had to queue overnight in a goddamn car park for these tickets, was so cold a friend and me had to huggle up just to stay warm lol. I suppose it's all worth it though.

Tons of stuff coming to YOW in the next while:

      - U2
      - Rolling Stones*
      - Kid Rock
      - Pearl Jam
      - ZZ Top
      - Black Eyed Peas
      - Deep Purple
      - Avril Lavigne
      - etc. etc. etc.

These are either stand-alone concerts or acts as part of huge spring/summer festivals. Cisco Systems Bluesfest and the Tulip Festival (on now) always draw tons of small/medium/large acts.

      * It is widely expected that the Stones will play during the Central Canada Exhibition ...

        Some big shows in Atlanta:

May 5-8. The Black Crowes @ The Tabernacle (The first 3 shows are officially sold out, the Sunday show still had a few tickets as of yesterday.)

        June 10-12 Music Midtown. http://www.musicmidtown.com/
I'm planning on going to all three days this year ($75 for a three day pass is a very good deal). Some of the acts this year:
        The White Stripes
        The Pixies
        The Killers
Devo (I'm going to have to find me one of those flowerpot hats....)

September 27 Oasis. I wish this wasn't a Tuesday night show, as I'd have to work the next day, but I might still go since I haven't seen them since 2000.

Last Friday night I went to a Sir Elton John concert. It was an excellent concert!!!

Kenny G is having a concert on Sunday. I think I heard that James Taylor is doing a concert at the Minnesota State Fair later in the summer.

Not too many to speak of here in Winnipeg except Green Day coming shortly. Otherwise, I'm going to the Freq 107 Rock For A Reason CD release party (with Vanderveen, Drivenation and Superseed) on the 11th. Yeah, I'm into the kickass hard rock

There are hundreds of shows in ITH since Ithaca College is one of the top Music schools in the world. Yesterday Snop Dogg preformed at "Slope Day" (Last day of classes for Cornell, big party on a huge slope. On average 15k students go) The Hives come here every year cause their base gutarist went to IC. There are a lot of shows for cornell, they get people like Mos Deff, Outkast, Nas, Jay-Z (came two years ago) ITH is pretty big with concerts!
