    i really think that the best way to see a place is t not have any set goals in mind on things to see (or at least not too many of them) but rather just get yourself to a part of the city that looks interesting and then just wander around. This is how my brother and I saw Kyoto and we had so much fun. The guide book only came out when we saw something cool and wanted to know what it was. We got lost A LOT but we saw some really cool stuff. The only problem is that Tokyo is huge and by wandering around you wont get to see much of it.

    As for places I could suggest in Tokyo I would reccomend reading something I wrote for www.worldisround.com. http://www.worldisround.com/articles/34849/index.html I summed up a lot of the different areas of Tokyo and have pictures to go with each one. Let me know if you have any other questions

      Love Japan! I'll try to make it the first crountry outside of North America that I visit.

        I have been to Japan twice and I loved my time there both visits!!! I would go there again if the opportunity comes up.
