  • Does your window offer this view?

My bedroom window and attic window both offer a spectacular view of the Canarsie Approach for JFK, arrivals on the 13's and LGA departures. I was just playing around with my camera, and I got the following pics! They arent the BEST quality, but just to show you guys how lucky I am I know there are people out there with better views then mine also! These are taken at 8x optical zoom (whatever that equals to in mm)

btw.... every once in while a plane on the way to BDL flys over a few thousand up

Theres a picture of an Air Transat plane in the DB lined up for take off at YYZ.. In that picutre, you can see my apartment.

It gets loud when 33L/R is in use, I'm close enough to be able to read registrations when 33L is used. The noise isn't bad unless I'm hung over

I should get some decent pics when my new camera finally comes.

The best pictures I've seen here from someones home would be from Gary Lewis (I think I got his name right). I remember one comment being something like "The view from my backyard pool".

Not quite...every once in the while a C-5 or some A-10s will fly over, however. A few years ago I used to live on Fort Drum under the approach path for aircraft landing at GTB. Lots of interesting visiters. C-130s, C-5s, C-141s, C-17s, P-3s, CH-47s, UH-60s, F-16s, F/A-18s, even Air Force One...
Fly Raleigh-Durham International, with direct flights on Air Canada, AirTran, American Airlines, American Eagle, America West, Continental Airlines, Continental Express, Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, jetBlue, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways to:

ATL, AUS, BWI, BOS, CHS, CLT, MDW, ORD, CVG, CLE, DFW, DTW, FLL, BDL, HOU, IND, LAS, LAX, LGW, MEM, MIA, MSP, BNA, EWR, MSY, JFK, LGA, ORF, MCO, PHL, PHX, PIT, STL, SLC, TPA, YYZ, DCA and IAD.

I get to look at a small lake and beyond the trees (about 2 miles away) is Peterborough airport. Just a lot of GA traffic and Hercs from CFB Trenton.

where i used to live, the inbounds to DAL were only a few thousand feet up, and we lived about 60 miles south of Dallas. It was pretty cool though to watch them. Now i can see all the GA planes turning onto final when they're using 19. otherwise the takeoffs from 1 turn right above my house.
