  • Volume on iPod Mini

    Hey all!

I have a slight problem with my iPod mini. I can never get the volume up very high. Even when the volume bar shows that it's all turned up, I still find the volume pretty low and it annoys me a bit as I like to listen to really loud music

Is there any settings I can change to change this? I spent a £120 on this after all and the volume on my old £10 mp3 player is 10 times higher than this when it's all turned up.

    Hope you can help me

    SETTINGS AT THE MOMENT:
    AUDIOBOOKS: Normal
    EQ: Off
    SOUND CHECK: On

EDIT: I turned off Sound Check... and it seems better, but still, it doesn't go up very loud. Oh well... suppose ya can't have it all

I can get my Ipod shuffle to play extremely loud, and it's 1/4 of the price of a mini.

If I was you I would take it back to the shop, and get them to sort it out.

What's also interesting is that portable audio equipment sold in Europe is apparently required by law to artificially limit the maximal volume, in order to prevent hearing damage. In other words, a US Ipod will go louder than a European one. It's nice to see that the EU is so concerned about our well-being...

And Danish ones comes with a tad lower volume than the european standard, I found out... don't know why though... and I haven't listened to a Danish iPod as mine was bought in the UK (which also makes it hard to go to the shop with again and have them check it out)

But it's all fine now! when I set it to full volume, you can actually feel the earphones vibrate and I couldn't have it all the way up now without bursting my eardrums Thanks for the help!
