  • Why is Little Rock famous?

Little Rock, Pasternak, Mickey Mantle, Kerouac
Sputnik, Chou En-Lai, "Bridge on the River Kwai"
That's a quote from a Billy Joel song, which has famous people and places mentioned throughout it. While I know about most of them, I don't know much about why Little Rock is so famous?

    Anybody know why?
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

    it fit the song rythem?

Johnny Cash put Ellensburg in a song and that place has just a state university.
THE VOICE OF REASON HAS SPOKEN!
Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.

The Little Rock reference in that song is referring to this incident in 1957.

Well, for what I know, Little Rock is famous for "Slick Willy" Bill Clinton . At least that's the impression I got when I was there. It was like everything was only about Bill, and nothing else was of importance.

We're more infamous for that incident. That's pretty much the only thing that we've have national "recognition" for besides Clinton.

It was like everything was only about Bill, and nothing else was of importance.
Not anymore, lol. The governor we have now has pretty much gotten rid of anything in Little Rock that had to do with Clinton. But since the Clinton library opened, he can't do much else.

I know why. It's because everyone knows that Bill Joel is referring to you! Little Rock is simply a polite way of describing your brain. It's referring to how small it is and how hard it is for information to penetrate the surface of your brain!
Words are not enough to justify reasonings!

Could we please keep all insults pertaining to me confined to that other thread. The other thread has informed me it's angry that this thread is having to share its glory.

There's good old irony again because I believe on the I Want To Be A Hilton thread everything was going fine until indian airlines added yet again pointless commentary. So why don't indian airlines apologize and then I will apologize as this is not one sided.

How about let's just say that this situation is not one sided and that my reasonings deserve some credibility. End of discussion.
