  • Witty paintschemes?

    Hey!
    I had a discussion with a friend recently, and either I'm unbelieveably uninformed, plain stupid or something, but I haven't really seen any witty/intentionally (even unintentionally) funny paintschemes. The only one I've found a little funny was the Berlin "bearbus"

    So I would like to know: Do any of you know of any? Have pictures of any? Or do the airlines think it's too unproffessional? Just something that crossed my mind I'd definitely love to see some!

            thanks AC, those RyanAir ones... the "Aufwiedersehen Lufthansa" means "good bye, Lufthansa" and the "nein zum lufthansa kerosinzuschlag" means "no to lufthansa's fuel levy/addition" (yay for originality ) They had a similar one saying "arrividerci (sp?) Alitalia", or "goodbye Alitalia"... apparently, good ol' o'leary loves insulting other airlines

                    Here are the worst special schemes IMO:

                    [photoid=2774]

                    Looks like they just let a bunch of kids go crazy on the planes.

                      Didn't they? Looks like kids at least made the paintscheme design or something...

                      What's the story behind the "eelect george w. bush" one anyway? Did it make the news because of a spelling mistake?

                          It used to be Reelect George W. Bush. So no spelling mistake, the funny thing is that it went down in water.

                          I like the Virgin Atlantic slogans:

                          [photoid=109150]

                          'More Experience than our name suggests'

                          'BA cant keep it up (Concorde)' and 'No way BA/AA' was funny too.

                            Not only airlines, Airbus as well, which he made obviousl by stating during the delivery of a new 738 that the rego EI-DAC stands for "Driving Airbus Crazy" .
