  • Pics from North Vancouver

It's good to be back in BC after a six year absence. Here's some pictures from a recent visit to the Lonsdale Quay Market in North Van.

    The famous "Q"

A look at the market inside.

    Crab with ice cold beer...mmmmm.

View of North Van from downtown Vancouver with floatplane on a takeoff roll. Can you spot the "Q"?

Heads up Alaska Air Rules! Alaska-bound cruise ship heads out to sea.

The ride home on the rail. I sure miss the car I had in the States.

The picture quality sucks but hope you enjoyed it.

hey b777, did you get to try the new model Skytrains while you're there? (The picture you have there seems to be the old one)
The pictures I can find of the new model are awesome

you see Grouse Mt, i am the king of the mountain! i actually hiked down it on a wet day last month! took just over 1hr, was advised not to do it but i was determined to go the other way! i passed many people going up who gave me the "what the hell is he doing going down" look, i made it though! even have the photos of me coming out of the mountain!

i love Vancouver, one of the nicest cities in the world!

Yea, plenty of times. In fact I am looking out the windscreen of one in the last picture. It's sure nice of Bombardier to put in a large windscreen. Heck they have a wiper on the thing so you can enjoy the scenery in the rain However, the seats are just as cramped as the old trains. I'd still rather have a set of wheels though than taking the transit.

lol, I hoped you enjoyed the hike. Did you happen to see any black bears? I took the cable car up Grouse Mt. a long time ago and I remember seeing a couple.
