The house took 3 years to build, while the family lived in a trailer on site. They built the house from scratch with the help of several local friends.

Question about the balloons though. Do you have a preplanned route you take and somehow have a way to steer the balloon?, or is it just "go with the wind"? And how when you land in a field or something that is someones property, do they get mad, or are they ok with it?

Just wondering.

Tradition is if you land in someone elses land you must present them a bottle of wine or champagne as a thank you for allowing them to land on your yard. This happened to my grandparents, they had a hot air balloon land in their yard and they were presented with a bottle of champagne.
