It's a free country. They have a much right hold such events as homosexuals do when they hold their so called "pride" parades. Funny though how people of certain political persuasions only b*tch about events held by Christians.

Good points...I also do not agree with black history month on such a level, but I think its purpose is not to elevate the black race over another race, (like white power) but rather to promote and educate others about the acheivments of blacks in america, especially considering the severe oppression they were submitted to. The reason I don't have a problem with gay pride parades, is precisely because of what you see in my first post. These poeple are constantly feeling oppressed by our government and conservative christians, and the reality is, THEY ARE. I believe in equality for EVERYONE, no matter your race, ethnicity sexual orientation or anything. Denying gays marriage and saying we need to erase homosexuality from america goes back to the antics of the third reich (an OVERTLY anti-gay government).
The reason they have these parades is to promote awareness, and show us they are here to stay and they are just as much a part of this country as anyone else. And I will agree that often they go way over the top and it gets silly, but I have never seen them hurt anyone, or try and convert others to their way of life.Comment

GOD needs another focus. Our Church is being run into bankruptcy because of our idiot minister. We are trying hard to fire him (following the proper rules). The United Church is so slow and incompetent and while they dither our parishioners are leaving and our donations are in the toilet.
Maybe God, when He's finished with the gays, will come over and help us sell our building.Comment
