You are wrong.
If someone sends you an E-mail, it's going to get stored at your host's mail server.
If you want to look at them, you are going to have to download the message from the server before you can read it

I pitty anyone with a modem that has to download dozens (or hundreds) of spam HTML emails. aiiee!

I just put them in a large storage bin and never got around to cleaning it out. I have tons of junk in these huge bins. I'll get to it one day!
