Alright....

Enough of the "we're being infiltrated by A.net forum members" BS.

As has been said countless times before, if you don't like a topic, don't open it. That simple.

This is the Off Topic forum. If people want to talk a bit about sex, or other mature topics, why shouldn't they be able to? This is a place to kick back, unwind, and have fun. Besides, the topic of the thread is friggin "SEX" -- if you don't want to read/talk about sex, don't open it.

Personally, I'm glad to see a bit of levity and fun being had in the Off Topic forum -- a refreshing change from the way things were going a few months ago, in my opinion.

One thing that will stop, though, is the continual posting on this notion that people from A.net are not welcome here, are of a 'lower class' than the 13 year olds posting these statements, or anything else like that. I'll make sure of that.

Well I guess I'll chime in. I agree and disagree that some of the topics have reached a low but for the most part the forums are still pretty civil and offer good topics. To the naysayers if you don't like the topics being discussed then start new topics that you enjoy discussing.

I thought that thread was damn funny. But it was a little too harsh, so I agree with it being locked.

If you hate this place so much why dont you make your own forum at that great .tk site. You can take all your friends there aswell, away from all these evil A.net people invading your monopoly...

Since Will can't post again I'll put his point clearly and rationally on the table. He saw that the forum was going downhill and he couldn't find any difference from the old times except for the influx of a.net refugees. There have been instances where the forum rules have not been conformed although since Chris has final say the situations have been corrected. I beleive he jumped to a conclusion but it was not so awful that you need to become slanderous. I don't agree with it but I respect it. what I don't respect is users who deride me for no reason and get away with it. that's the real problem. Not a.net refugees they have all been very good in their behavior and it's merely old users who got arrogant. My 2 cents.

And just so you know, almost half the members of this forum are between 13 and 17.

Maybe thats more of an explanation for the 'low quality' threads that offend you so much than an influx of those 'awful A.net people'

Thing is, you guys are complaining about a non-existant problem. The "sex" thread was bad...and was closed. It was started by a non-Anet person.

The sleep thread. Horrendous fun. You guys didnt bother to try and check it out, instead just say...oh this sucks.

What other threads are bothering you? You want war threads? Shouting matches? Go to A.net...plenty of those there. The only way to keep this forum calm and fun (atmosphere wise) is by staying off hot topics like war and politics.

I dont see the need to alienate former or present A.net users from the forum group. It doesnt matter where you come from we're at JP.net now.

Then act like JP.net, and don't keep your old a.net styles. It's as simple as that. Post something like "summer break", or "careers". Not the non-sense that has been going up lately.
