    Has anyone sold their photo to someone who saw their shot on JP.net?
    I have been contacted by someone who wants to buy one from me but im not exactly sure how to go about it.
    Anyone have any suggestions? Should I somehow embed a digital watermark so this person dosen't turn around and sell it again?

    Ask him what his purpose of the photo is, Then decide from there.

      Been asked only three times. Two times I just got a stack of magazines. The other time no deal was made as the person that wanted the photo only wanted it free.

          I got contacted by 'Flight International' for a cover shot. It worked out nicely for me. Of course they were pros with handling the situation.

              I've had a few shots sold.

              This one got put into the april issue of ALPA magazine, paid 150 bucks:
              [photoid=396018]

              Second photo displayed as a print in a trade show in Austin, paid 75 bucks:
              [photoid=415698]

              Third photo sold to a non-profit organization called Rocky Mountain Lions Eye bank for their annual report, run of 10,000 pieces, paid 100 bucks (100 bucks is a little low for 10K pieces but this is a non-profit company so I undercut the price a little bit).
              [photoid=540875]

              The first 2 photos I sold from a.net, the third I sold off my personal website, www.rockymountainavphotos.com.

              For you, I'd say since he's just sending it to mpix to get a print, just ask him for ten bucks paypal and send him the file, really its only personal use. I had a similar request last christmas, and since it was christmas, I sent the photo for free.

                        I do know Andrew. He was the one who showed me and some friends some good spotting locations at YYZ.
