Really? Wouldn't that mean that most babies would be boys then? Since a father is always male? I'm confused.
I know it sounds weird but the father's sperm carry both DNA so it just depends which one gets into the egg.

          What he said,

Will, all chromosomes are in pairs. The sex chromosomes are either an X or Y, with the Y being dominant. So a XY is male and XX is (the only possible way to be) female.

Its rather Ironic that in the 15th century, men were allowed to leave their partners if they didnt produce male offspring.

                              Congratulations, mate.

If this will be your first child as I think it will, you can be sure that it was the best "work" you did so far in your life.

I wish all the best for you and your present and future family.

                              Cheers.

It sometimes happens, even in the best of families, that a baby is born. This is not necessarily cause for alarm. The important thing is to keep your wits about you and borrow some money .
Getting down on all fours and imitating a rhinoceros stops babies from crying. (Put an empty cigarette pack on your nose for a horn and make loud "snort" noises.) I don't know why parents don't do this more often. Usually it makes the kid laugh. Sometimes it sends him into shock. Either way it quiets him down. If you're a parent, acting like a rhino has another advantage. Keep it up until the kid is a teenager and he definitely won't have his friends hanging around your house all the time.
If you were to open up a baby's head - and I am not for a moment suggesting that you should - you would find nothing but an enormous drool gland.
Having a child is surely the most beautifully irrational act that two people in love can commit
Children are supposed to help hold a marriage together. They do this in a number of ways. For instance, they demand so much attention that a husband and wife, concentrating on their children, fail to notice each other's faults.

Just been made an uncle myself and i am suprised that the baby gets all the attention. Whenever i hold that bundle of joy he always cries It is my hands that are rough i simply dont know.

Well congratulations there mate, dont forgot in nine months to send us a picture of that great bundle of joy, and may you have the most wonderful time ever.

Also people say that the first baby always have the learning curves in life! meaning whenever the second child comes along, which i very much say that it will takes two to tango that the second one will be alot easier to manage as you know the mistakes you have made with the previous one.

Once again congratulations. Does that mean your taking maternity leave?
Some people in today's society are so thick!
