Yah, I do flying Texan. Also I live in Grants Pass not Medford. A 30 mile trip, but GP is a town of 23,000 and Medford is 65,000. The Hornet was stolen in Seattle. So really only one car was taken in Southern Oregon. I used to be a police officer in Seattle so I have a hundreds of nutty tales, but this not the place for those. I believe that stealing a first class product is just wrong. We all know which aviation site similar to this one we're talking about (SAY IT! Airliners.net is NOT a curse word! Funny concept though!) So as it has been said a billion times on another aviation site similar to this one, pay for it get it legally, or sit in the back.

Jeff, your right. But the boyfriend did have a DL, the girlfriend did not. After the "test drive" she did! However that is not worst thing that has happen.

A mini-van was used in a bank robbery, it was being test driven by the "robbers". I thought a Viper would be a better getaway car! We are a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership.

My car was stolen and used in another bank robbery. The funny thing is that it was a yellow 1974 AMC Hornet.

A customer blew the engine on his SCCA pro racing Neon and Chrysler covered it on warranty. That car was not street legal!

I caught the parts driver "drag racing" on public streets. Not a good idea to have a V-10 Ram for a service truck.

On another point this funny accident happened to my dad in 1974. Dad was rear-ended by a motorcycle cop. The officer crashed through the back window of the car and landed on two bean bag chairs in the back cargo area. He did not hurt himself (soft landing). The car was a brand new AMC Gremlin. BTW: The family had an American Motors lot at the time in 1970s.

Oh, Yah. Since this is Jet Photos.net I will say that we sold PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines) six Matador sation wagons. Have you seen ever oragne, white and pink sation wagon? Yuk! Double Yuk! I'm sure this guy would like that car!

Today, someone came in to Test drive a car. Just so he could let his girlfriend take her driver's test with it.

If you want to get away with a trick like that. Just don't take a car from the dealership across the street from the DMV.

Saw a post somewhere on some aviation related site – quite similar to this one – concerning pax stealing F/C seats. Well, we all know it is nearly impossible to successfully sneak up to F/C and grab a seat without ramifications. It is highly unethical in my opinion – what I call a real lack of class.

Got me thinking about this:

As some of you may be aware, I work part time as a Barista at Starbucks in the morning to augment my many other enterprising entrepreneurial endeavors.

I work on one of Houston’s main thoroughfares and see the same batch of commuters each and every weekday morning. I have a lady that comes in about 10:00 AM and orders three shots of espresso over ice in a Venti cup (that is a large, 24 ounce cup). She pays her $2.22 tab in exact change, obtains the beverage, and proceeds to the condiment bar. She then fills the cup up with milk - hence making her own ‘Iced Venti Latte.’ She then departs in either her Lexus LS430 or Mercedes-Benz ML 380. (Once again emphasizing no connection between money and class).

Now, it would bring Starbucks great joy if this tarn hag just ordered an ‘Iced Venti Latte’ and not three shots of espresso.

Ice Venti Latte costs $3.73 (may be different where you live) a triple espresso costs $2.22.

3.73 – 2.22 = 1.51

Ms. Ho is unethically saving herself $1.51 each time she comes into my Starbucks.

Talk about a real lack of class. She is stealing from my employer. Yea, I know SBUX has lots of dough and I agree most drinks are excessively overpriced. Does not warrant stealing from the organization.

I have never said anything to her – just dirty looks – or sometimes we make sure she gets exceedingly slow service. What would you do? Serve her decaf? (My AM co-worker and I have a great sense of humor). Tell Ms. Ho her business is not welcome, what?
