  • Gas Prices Better

I filled up today for $2.12 per gallon with the price declining steadily over the past few days. That's better than what it was here in late June/early July, and certainly cheaper than what I was paying when I was in Florida from March - June. I'm kinda pissed because I filled up a couple weeks ago for $2.80 after I heard a bogus forcast on the news for gas prices to reach $4.00 per gallon by the end of the year. My Toyota Camry holds about 17 gallons, I guess it was a waste of about $11 compared to today's price.

    That's CAD $.66 per liter
    That's GBP £.32 per liter
    That's AUD $.74 per liter

It's been around 90 cents a liter here, give or take a few cents. The lowest I've seen was 86.5.

Lucky bastard. The cheapest I've been able to get it in the Atlanta area is $2.48. I'm glad I have a work vehicle that my company pays for me to fill up everyday, and it uses regular gas. Our other route guy's truck is a diesel and it's still above $3 a gallon here. My own car I last filled up about four weeks ago, and right now it sits a little below a half tank. When I filled it up, the station only had premium unleaded @ $3.19 a gallon.

Actually I don't drive buses near as often as I used to since I got my CFI ratings, but since I am "between" CFI jobs at the moment I do some work for a limo company which does have one coach and three minibuses. I also drive towncars and vans, and sometimes even the stretch limos (which suck).

A typical coach holds 170 - 240 gallons, and since diesel is still very steep ($3.12 per gallon), you are looking at $530.00 - $740.00 to fill up if you're empty! If you are cruising over the road in a newer coach you might get 8 miles per gallon on a good day, that's $.40 per mile in fuel alone! I don't even want to know what it's like being an independant truck driver right now.

Same here. Gotta love the high taxation on fuel .

Our gas prices are down around $2.30 around here, which is a big improvement from the prices during the labor Day weekend. But I also am less concerned about the gas prices these days since I recently started in a new position where I am able to commute by express bus each day.

meanwhile, in the world of depleting supply and demand, or so they have said, Exxon reported a $10 billion profit for the third quarter.

                              that's quarter.

                              that's three months.
