WINDSOR LOCKS (AP) -- A Boeing 747 was forced to return to Bradley International Airport Wednesday morning after striking one or more birds, an airport spokesman said. Delta Flight 1718, with 104 passengers and crew, was bound for Cincinnati.
I remember when a Beech Dutches(I spelled it wrong huh?) crashed near KCCR, the news said "Witness report a large t-tailed aircraft, probably an MD-80, making strange prop noises as it apporached Concord's Buchannan airport."
Ok, I don't know where to begin with how wrong that is. KCCR is a GA airport by the way, although it did have AirCal Bae 146 service in the 80s.

The movies/tv shows always get it wrong too. I saw this one movie (i cant remember which one) where the main characters took off in a Concorde, landed in a B742, and taxied to the gate in another type of plane. Another time, I was watching Walker, Texas Ranger reruns (don't ask why... okay, I want to be a Texas Ranger don't make fun of me just kidding) These drug smugglers were getting ready to make their escape in a small GA plane (I don't remember what eaxctly it was), and Walker jumped in the plane, wrestled the guy out and pushed the throttle all the way in, to stop the plane
