  • New 9/11 Christmas tribute video

This video (26mb) gives us an opportunity to think about the families of September 11 victims. Unless you’re Middle Eastern this video will certainly pull on your heart strings.

I spent about 10 hours with this project. The time was spent planning, finding quality material, converting and cropping video and hardest of all putting it all together and getting the timing right.

The video is in basic chronological order, watch how the lyrics mesh well with the picture at times that was mainly good luck on my part.

      Thanks

Someone said it was a bit insensitive to bring up the WTC impacts yet again, but I think it's effective in the tribute.

        Good motive (I think)

Horrible production. Putting that video to that music is disgusting.

Instead, why don't you show some pictures of the victims, rather than the planes smacking into the buildings. Horrible combination.

THE VOICE OF REASON HAS SPOKEN!
Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.

It's a sober song for a sober day; lyrically it fit's into the tribute's theme well. Would music from the other side of the spectrum fit better, Top Gun theme maybe? Or a techno track?

The most emotive aspect of 9/11 is the attack itself on the W.T.C. The clip is in the basic order of event’s, how can I just ignore the W.T.C attacks, would the clip have had the same effect without them? Hardly I think.

I’m no professional at this, just had some time to use movie maker. Possibly it is a bit insensitive with the music, but what's done is done. If you look at the clip as a whole I had good intentions.

Last time I checked there were a few Middle Eastern people who didn't support 9/11. Just cause your from that part of the world does not at all mean that you don't sympathize with the victims of that attack. Thats a horrible generalization or joke or whatever you were trying to do.

I totally agree. Not everybody hates Americans.

Alright guys, enough is enough. He spent hours of his time trying to do a nice thing, and the least you all could do would be to show him a little respect. He may have made a joke in poor taste, but you all are hopefully mature enough to look past that fact and at least give him the benefit of the doubt...

I can take a joke just as well as the next person, even if it is in poor taste. But that is one of the biggest and most sensitive issues in the world right now. To say something like that is just downright stupid. I have many middle eastern friends who I watched cry on Sept. 11. To say that reliving those memories wouldn't find a soft spot in their hearts is thoughtless and insensitive. I've made my fair share of jokes in poor taste but something like that is just pure ignorance.

I can't be bothered with this school yard bickering. Can a mod delete this thread, so we can just be done with it? Besides I'm fighting a bad computer virus at the moment, so arguing over this is the least of my worries.

Thanks herpa2003 for not over analysing it.
