    Richard-

Ok, first about you saying the quality of life has not improved-open your eyes! The Iraqi people are free now, they can speak what they want without worrying about being shot or killed.

Second-Give us some time, the WMD will be there. Just look at this quote from CLINTON in 1998-"What if Saddam Hussein fails to comply, and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop his program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction."

The president's warnings are firm. "If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." The stakes, he says, could not be higher. "Some day, some way, I guarantee you, he'll use the arsenal."

And that's from Clinton!!!!! Where was the protests and denial then? The only difference is that Bush has the balls to do something about the WMD while Clinton just talks about them.

Third- Bush is not useless. He continues to have favorable approval ratings, and it is likely that he will be re-elected. He gave us a great tax cut and is working hard to boost the economy.

Sorry to go but I was quite enjoying BBC's "HardTalk" this afternoon... They had the Saudi Minister there, and the interviewer was asking him why in Saudi school books it states "Judgement day will not come unless Muslims kill the Jews" or something along those lines...

The minister denied it was a problem...saying "Well the same thing is in Jewish textbooks.."

    That land in the gulf

OK. We had all these heated arguments on how this war was right vs. wrong. But looking at it now, some 3 months after it began. I'm really skeptical.

Political discussions! , haven't had many of these now. Take our mind off some of the wierd threads out there in the off-topic forum.

    OK, consider this.

    1. No WMD's have been found yet. It is now said that US and UK leaders exaggerated claims to help justify war. None have been found yet and reports have leaked out that even top officials in the American and British administrations were expressing their doubts about the fact that there are in fact WMDs. Initially they said that there were WMD's for sure. Okey Dokey
I suppose they’re in Iran or Syria or France. Yeah, better declare war on one of those guys next eh?

    2. Quality of life in Iraq has not improved. Infrastructure, food, fresh water, electricity, medical facilities remain in tatters and very little effort has been made to improve that. The "superficial" UN aid workers can't help because the "liberators" are hindering that.

    3. Nuclear material (initially for power, stored) has gone loose from a Nuclear facility thus contaminating the environment and sickening many innocent civilians. All thanks to lawlessness and looting. Brills...

    4. People are ticked off. Their lives have not improved but worsened. Now they’re demonstrating and there is even armed resistance now. Maybe they’re pro-Saddam forces, or maybe they’re just representing an increasingly exasperated populous. Meanwhile there is no working government or legal system in Iraq. Yet there are still contracts going out to US firms in the lucrative and profitable (for these firms) oil-for-reconstruction campaign.

Bush is useless. If the people of the United States have the wits about them, they will not re-elect this guy.

Just for the record. I ain’t bashing America, it’s a great country with great people as a whole (but a small minority screw it up for everyone else). I think that we should just take these facts into consideration. What do you guys think?
