  • Enough is Enough!

This "My Last Note" thread trend is getting about as annoying as Carrot Top in those 1-800-CALL-ATT commercials. If you don't like JP.net, then just leave, don't a such a whiner about it. "JP.net is becoming a second A.net!" Boo hoo! There is a vast world out there on the Internet, so instead of whining about JP.net, maybe you should go explore it; better yet, turn off your computer and go outside. So you hate the fact your 'friends' on this forum got banned, well if they followed the rules of the forums, they wouldn't have gotten themselves banned. These forums are not public property; once you have permission to use the forums, the rights for one's use of the forums can be revoked at the Administrator's discrection. This site is like being a guest a someone's home, you offend the host, you'll find yourself sitting on the stoop looking in through a window. Another thing, quit with the bashing of members who happen to be either ex-members or current members of A.net. Most of us do bring something good to the table, and while even the most strictest membership policies will not keep all of the riff-raf out of a site's forums. So if you don't like a thread topic or a response within that thread, there's a simple solution: on the upper left corner of you browser, there's that little (or big depending on which browser you use) that says "back". Learn to use it. I could keep this rant going on for a few more pages, so I'll cut it short right now.

Even though you are from KATL, and like the Georgia Bulldogs (a Georgia Tech lover here &feel free to PM me with my reasons for being a GT fan)

I agree with your view 110%..... I basically posted the same view in the thread in AmyB's "A note bout the suspension & banishment drama fest"

At the heart of the issue they are all good guys, they just made some decisions that resulted in necessary action. If you got to know these guys you would understand this. Someone said don't criticize Chris until you know him, I challenge you to do the same with these guys. I'm not saying what they did was right but we should respect them as a person not as a nickname in the forums. I feel jp.net has a lot of potential and is pretty far down the road to far reaching appreciation but the disrespect of individuals is not the way to go. They should have also seen this. Thanks.

Its all very well to draw that comparison, but Chris's posts are at least properly written, thought through and reasonably calm. Its very hard to read the kind of abusive, semi-illiterate rubbish that these 'respected people' chuck onto the forum when they get a little upset and think to yourself 'yeah, i'm sure they're really lovely people'. What you write on here comes from you just as surely as if you say it on the phone or in a letter.

Maybe they should think about how immature and obnoxious they appear before they post it.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

Ok guys i dont really visit the off-topic forum much but I was starting to get annoyed with all these members getting banned or leaving because they are unhappy. As soon as I came in here I could see why, biccering here, there and almost everywhere you look. This is the sole reoson I dont usually get involved with Off-Topic discussions, as half the time it always turns to arguing and the topic has changed to a totally different thing.

All I have to say is, if you want to stay out of trouble....dont get involved in any post in the Off-Topic forum unless necessary. Your interests Aviation guys not What pizza your going to have tonight. If you really want to biccer just join the chatroom. Get involved in the topics of your interest, this way everyone else will be happy and there will be no 'Immaturity' abuse thrown about.

I would also like to see a stop to the 'Last Note' posts, anyone doing these should be banned anyway for clogging up the forum with crap, of course members will be unhappy to see you go, but do you have to clog the off-topic forum up with more contraversial posting?

Now this is the most intelligent thing I've heard today.
Really, the banning of Richard was too much for me. Of course, I don't know why he was banned, and I'm sure that he was banned for a good reason, but when a respected member like Richard (he has been here longer than I have, and he always was some kind of neutral peacekeeper) does things that cause a ban, those deeds must have been caused by the deterioration of this forum.
This made me decide to stay away from the Off Topic forum. I don't want my hobby to be spoiled by some people that can't behave, so I'm not leaving JP.net, but this was my last post in this Off Topic forum, that should be renamed Name calling forum...
