I came up with an idea that I’ll be trying out this year. If it works out I’ll be receiving presents as I normally would, except I won't have to spend a cent on presents myself nor queue in long lines at overcrowded stores.
Christmas morning arrives; you open all your presents. When a loved one gestures for their gift you walk over and give them a cuddle, then say “Christmas is not about materialistic things, it’s about love and togetherness, you can’t put a price on this cuddle, and this is your present.” Repeat this process as needed. The people can’t argue with this.
So i'll be giving that one a go this year, just thought I'd post my concept now so you lot can try the same thing if need be.
