The way I saw it, Earnhardt was laying back to protect the 2 DEI cars at the front of the field in the 2001 500 & Marlin got into him. I never thought Sterling did it intentionally..."rubbin's racin"

I'm not necessarily fans of, but I pull for some of the underdogs too, mainly Todd Bodine, Jamie McMurray, Robby Gordon, Kyle Petty, and Johnny Benson.

I just read today that they are loosing Winston as the sponsor of the big series. To be replaced by Nextel wireless. So is it just me or does the NASCAR Nextell Cellular Phone Series sound kind of corny??

I suppose it depends on your definition of corny.

Virtual Captain sounds corny to me, but some people wear it like a badge.

My favorite NASCAR driver is that white guy with the southern accent.

SWA733- It's at Sonoma, CA, Infineon Raceway (Road Course) this week. I heard that the name of the series is simply going to be "Nextel Cup"...I was afraid it'd be something long & drawn out like you posted above.

...and, with the exception of one driver in the Craftsman Truck Series, they're all white.
