  • How do you...

I have seen a few guys on here take pictures of their desktops and publish them on this website. I was wondering how they did it. I mean, if I was watching something on my monitor, could I take a pic of the screen and capture/save the image. For example, I want to use this pic from a DVD that I am watching. Is there anyway that I can take a capture the image on the screen and save it to use it as my background?
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.

If you mean taking a screenshot, just press 'print screen' and 'alt'. Then select paste in your favorite photo editing software.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    A.M.

Depending on your video player, you may have an option to take a screen shot...Or you may not be able to at all (some players seem to use annoying DirectX routines that don't seem to work well with most screen shot tricks)

        1) hit "Print Screen" to copy the screen to the Windows clipboard
        2) open an image editor and create a new file from the clipboard
        3) RESIZE the damned thing so we won't have to scroll while reading the thread
        4) save it to your hdd
        5) use the "upload picture" function of JP.net or a free image hoster such as Photobucket to get the file online
        6) post away
