Colour blind tests?

I dunno... I think I'd rather have a pilot that could distinguish the diffrence between the Red/green (or are they blue?) marker lights. And as for the test, maybe if you can't see the numbers on your monitor, it might be a good indication to go see a professional. If you can see them, well, it's just less to worry about I guess....

I have done so many colour blindness tests in the Air Force. It's a shame they didn't notice I was heading for Glaucoma at the same time!!!
Ah well.
And you two stop bickering. It's bloody Christmas - you WILL be nice!

That goes for both your Second and Third Class Medical Certificate.
Oh, and you still think that the Ishihara Test is jacksh!t? Could you please provide a link to another exam? You go to an Optometrist, I guarentee that they will administer the same test. I correct myself.
Next time, do better research.

Edit -- meaning you cant go there and say Hey I passed that test, I think I did alright. You do know you're allowed so many wrong...ect...you need to get it done professionally not just decide on your own whether you are or are not. So with that said, I've done my research. Thank's chief.Last edited by ExpressJet145; 2005-12-24, 01:08.

The 14 CFR Part 67 regulations, revised on September 16, 1996, state that a pilot must have "the ability to perceive those colors necessary for the safe performance of airman duties" for all medical certification classes.

Dont do that crap lol. I recommned you go to your local eye doctors and take a full examination. Im a freekin worry wart and overnight I got worried about my eyes and so I went to have a test done (im a pilot so i cant be color blind lol) and I took the full test and passed with flying colors. I got myself worked up over nothing haha.
