Didn't think about that...but it makes sense, since they know that if they tried the same thing in the US the plane would probably be shot down. If this is the case, closing one embassy is not enough, they could easily fly the 727 to another country and do an attack similar to 9/11, they could even reach Europe and the UK...a scary thought.
Fly Raleigh-Durham International, with direct flights on Air Canada, AirTran, American Airlines, American Eagle, America West, Continental Airlines, Continental Express, Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, jetBlue, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways to:

        Angola-UK in a 727-200?

Empty and with a full fuel load perhaps. They'll need some way to do it at very low level if they arent to be seen, and I just dont think thats possible...

If they are smart and organized enough, they could fly it to a remote airport in the northern part of Africa, refuel, and continue on their way...

From what I read, that 727 was fitted with fuel cells that were supposed to be used to deliver fuel to areas around the country. Yea, right.................
More likely to allow it to travel OUT of the country...........

Who would want to live there anyhow?

You do realize this entails crossing the Mediteranean an then some of the busiest airspace in thw world? By the time they reach the french coast we would already know they were there and fighter aircraft would be on their way to intercept.
Perhaps they could do Malaga/Palermo cities like that, but we would have a warning for anywhere else.
