  • Skip class and get 70 percent!

A University of Prince Edward Island lecturer makes no excuses for offering students a 70 to not show up for his course.

I wish more professors are like him!

If those kids are satisfied with a 70, then whatever...personally, a 70 sucks ass especially in a college level introductory humanities course. Not to mention it plays havoc with your GPA. And how a 70 is a B- beats me...it usually is a C- or a C.
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

70 is a B- at the University of Toronto as well.

You're right though, this kind of course is the kind that is supposed to boost your GPA. On the other hand, if that course was instead electronics....

In all the aviation classes here a 70% is a D. A C doesn't start until 76%. Not only that, if you get a D you have to retake the course...uhh...not like I'd know anything about that .

Wow, I've heard some pretty bad things about Canada, but I never figured they'd need a nationwide grading curve like this!

All this serves is to show students that they don't have to earn anything.
