If those kids are satisfied with a 70, then whatever...personally, a 70 sucks ass especially in a college level introductory humanities course. Not to mention it plays havoc with your GPA. 70 is a B- at the University of Toronto as well.
You're right though, this kind of course is the kind that is supposed to boost your GPA. On the other hand, if that course was instead electronics....Comment

In all the aviation classes here a 70% is a D. A C doesn't start until 76%. Not only that, if you get a D you have to retake the course...uhh...not like I'd know anything about that
.
