THE VOICE OF REASON HAS SPOKEN!
Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.

Don't really care. I will watch the Superbowl and enjoy, as always, and have no real favorite, as always.
Oh, and Frontier's newest commercial will be shown during the Superbowl .

I don't find either team very interesting, but I like Seattle QB Hasselbeck so I guess I'll pull for the Seahawks.

I don't really like both teams, but if I had to decide I'd go for the Seahawks.

Don't care who wins I just hope its a good game, because this entire regular season and postseason (except one game) has been mind numbingly boring.

I have been following the NFL for 19 years now and this has been the worst season I can remember.
Way too many bad teams, too many blowouts, way too many season ending injuries, no records, a handful of memorable games and by far the worst final two weeks of regular season play ever. The only interesting thing in the regular season was Indy going 13-0. By Week 16 most of the playoff spots had been won, leaving meaningless games everywhere where either one or worse both teams had nothing to play for. Most of Week 16 and 17 looked like pre-season scrimmages. Week 17 was painful, I have the NFL Sunday Ticket package and it was impossible to find a game that had meaning for both sides.

These playoffs have been just dreadful. Only one game where the outcome was still up in the air at the 2 minute warning, a feast of blowouts, poor offense and even worse officiating. Last years playoffs were not great either but at least we had 2 Overtime games and a bit of drama. This year only an insane reversal of Polomalu's interception has saved us from blowout city in every game.

So please let this Superbowl bring us some much needed drama, excitment and good football, may the best team win and may the officials be conspicuous by their absence.

Question...I don't watch football that much unless it's a game where my college is playing or it's the superbowl...so when is the superbowl?
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

I'll be happy for a game half as good as the Rose Bowl this year.

I guess its because you live somewhere other than Seattle and the national and international media seems to want to avoid talking about the Seahawks at all costs, but you clearly are not talking about the same season I watched.

As for records, I think you should review Shaun Alexander's season.

No, you're viewpoint is skewed because your team made the Superbowl, ergo it's a great season.
From a neutral viewpoint some of the worst football I have seen was played this year, did you really find the final two weeks of this season exciting?

And please enough of this Seahawks-against the World notion, they are a great team and everyone, including me, has respect for what they have done and the good football they have played this season, they were clearly the class of the NFC by some margin. Shaun Alexander is a worthy MVP and yes he did set a great record, congratulations to him.
Just to enhance my point the Hawks play in the NFC West with the Rams, Cardinals and 49ers, all crap football teams, and the West is not the only division like that. This year there were too many bad teams and some seriously uncompetitive football. Tell me where has the excitement been in this years playoffs?

I understand why you feel its a great season, I'd be stoked too if my useless Cowboys were playing in Detroit (Maybe sometime before the end of the Century they will get back to the big game again), but as a lover of great, exciting football this season and postseason has been a real letdown.

Good luck to both teams, put on a show for us

Sorry to hear you're a Cowboys fan Garry. What was that, 2 losses to the Redskins? But seriously, I think the season has been fair, there were quite a few surprises, aka Redskins actually making it, sixth seed making it to the bowl. Pats and Colts self destructing. Eagles ripping them selves apart by themselves. Better thna past years where the Pats just rolled their way all the way in. The refs haven't called too many controversial plays.

wannabe, the Hawks have been covered on the east coast, they aren't bad, just the Steelers have a history, I mean, Franco's Italian Army, Bradshaw, 3 rivers stadium, the steel curtain. Hell, they've been around since 1933. Whereas the Seahawks were only formed in 1976. So the bowl has one of the most well known teams versus a team that through it's history has been fairly unspectacular.
