It is funny how the second KCHM's 6 month ban gets lifted, politics come back to JP.
I wish people would just grow up, and argue some place where people actually care.
First off, it was a joke, not a political argument. It was Clovis who *tried* to turn it into an argument. Note that none of the people who found it amusing argued back.
Secondly, maybe you would like to examine these threads for political influences-

The difference being, Republicans elect a Boehner is actually funny, this joke was in poor taste and really not funny at all when you think about it.
Hmmm... I thought about it, and actually, I still did find it funny. So in other words, it is acceptable to ridicule a person due to his heritage (Boehner is a German surname), yet it is NOT acceptable to make a satirical jest in a completely fictional situation? I'd bet that you would feel differently if the names in the joke were Condi, Bush, Cheney, and Frist .

No because:
1. Making fun of a name that sounds like Bonor happens all the time. Its light hearted.
2. I would not find a joke that called for using gasoline to burn Condi, Bush, Cheney and Frist funny. Just like I didnt find the joke of throwing them out of the plane funny.
