Eh, it's just the 'Panic Hype of the Month'. Remember what a huge deal was made out of SARS (Yes, it was a major case in Asia, but European media panicked more than Asian Media)?
Or the fear about Acrylamid, that somehow just appeared in everything fried or toasted and was cancerou?
Or the whole deal about the 'Feinstaub'(don't know the correct English term)?
Fact is, except for a few articles, you don't hear or read anything about those things, and at the times those things were 'popular', the media made it sound like those things would exterminate mankind.
