Why old threads' images doesnīt appear?

Why I canīt see images in old threads here?
Iīm not sure but I think threads older than 1 year has itīs images unshowed and I donīt know why.
Is it common to others or I should kick my CPU out the window?

I think that's because the web space jp.net has is limited so to be able to post new images staff has to delete old ones.

I may be wrong but if I recall correctly there was a server switch sometime last year or maybe late 2004 which resulted in all the 'user-uploads' at the time being lost forever.

I seem to recall the great JP shutdown in December 2004 was the start of the problem.
