Either some traveller forgot it there when he boarded his train, or the local bum that plays guitar for a living went into the bushes to take a leak and came back after the photo was shot .

              Ok

              But the mystery maintains...
What the hell is it doing there being completely ignored by passers?
Should I change the thread name to: "Stop the train! The musicians forgotten the instruments!" ?

As u can see the kids seem to be lost (where are their parents) and the boy is looking at the guitar. MAn is not waking on a plaform but on the gravel just like if he was going to pick the guitar. So maybe he is theri father who forgot the guitar.

Hmm.. quite interesting your theory Patrick.
But one question becomes no answered to me yet now: Why the man left the guitar so far away from him and unassisted? And why left it on the ground?
                  Can we start a CSI Jetphotos.net Series? : )

Thatīs a local rural instrument used by shepherds and I found no translation from itīs original name. The most nearest translation could be "Bullīs horn".The original name in Portuguese is "Berrante"
Thereīs a pic of our President tryinī it:

And the suggestion to CSI Jp.net seems to be very interesting, huh?

It is a secret ploy by the US Army to infiltrate that part of the world. The guitar has a transmitter in it so DOD can monitor it's whereabouts when a specific contacts picks it up. This picture was taken by a tourist, and you are witnessing the DOD/CIA event in progress. There are snipers in the surrounding hills with laser guiding technology and an F-18/A flying around over head, launched from a Carrier from a nearby ocean.

Those aren't kids, they are operatives. The man walking towards the guitar/secret-CIA-devise is the main operative. The road on the right, leads to a DOD satellite relay station, which is a joint effort between the UK and US governments. On the right side of the train, where the people are sitting on that concrete stone, they are lookouts.

Once the guitar is picked up by the operative, he/she will be monitored. The train will lead to a secret underground bunker, at the end of its journey. The DOD/CIA, with help from CISI, the Canadian CIA will then send in commandos to rig the place with wiretaps and listening devises to gather information on suspected terrorists.

And that is why that guitar is there.

I will talk about the trained killer monkeys later.

                              Hmm...
This is a another interesting theory... thatīs the reason some people shown are with their heads covered...
What about the photographer? Maybe a US-UK double Agent? Or maybe 00"8"?
