  • Robot Car's created, no drivers or R/C needed

For the military, I think this is a great idea, as it will save many human lives. But for the average joe, it means another way to be lazy. I wonder how long it will be until people start saying, "Why drive a car when the car can drive me?". If you're that lazy, just call a cab.

What do you guys think about this?

I personally love driving, so I don't think I'd ever buy a robot car. It would take all the fun out of driving.
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

-- The LA Times, in a review of 'Flightplan'

Agree, driving is too much fun to change it for a robot

I agree with that, it'd be boring to just sit there.

I agree driving is fun, but imagine how exciting it might be if the robot malfunctions

Like most others, couldn't agree more. Being able to drive around is currently the only thing fun about my job.

                Well...

it would mean that instead of placing your hands on the steering wheel and stick shift, you could put your hands on the chicks .

Automatic shifted cars = beginners, Is that why so many like you in the states know how to drive only because it is automatic. So I have been told. No pun intended

I saw a tv show once, Sirr, Dam* Its Manual

No offence guys. I prefer Manual too
