    Also there are said to be links with Phenylalanine which is found in Diet Coke, and numerious other soft drinks and cancer at a later age. Refer to this for more info

    Something not having sugar and 0 calories doesn't mean it is good for you. Aspartem, although containing no sugar, still has the same affects as sugar on your body. Your body treats it like a carb and therefore you gain weight if you have excess of it. Newsweek published an article on it some time ago, I look for it. It was very interesting and it stated research proved that diet soda causes you to gain MORE weight, then non diet soda.

    Is Diet Coke bad for you?

    According to the labels, Diet Coke has nothing in it except 40 mg Sodium- no calories, sugar, or carbs. But is it really as "healthy" as water? I've heard that some studies show aspartame gives you brain cancer, but I suppose they're unsubstantiated. Since it has no sugar in it, does it give you cavities? And (assuming) the nutrion label is true, can you sub in Diet Coke for water and get away with it?
