  • A spotters dream house!

    Any takers?

The funny thing is people who live up here in Millbrae always whine about the airport taking up too much of the view. If it wasn't for the airport, all you would see would be the SF bay and Oakland, and who in their right mind wants to stare at Oakland? The best part about living in these hills is you can go spotting from your own living room, although only a small part of SFO is in the picture, most homes have a panoramic view.

No idea, everything up here is pretty expensive though. My guess is $700,000+, I might go check out the house to see it on the outside. My grandpa bought my current house with a similar view for $30,000 in 1950, now most every house in our neighborhood is being sold for around $1,000,000! I bet he never imagined that when he bought the house, but I am glad he did buy it. Otherwise theres no way in hell I'd be living in the Millbrae hills.

I would think $700,000 is on the low side, considering the location and the view.

My cousin lives in Union City in a 3bdrm 2bath house in Suburbia and that goes for $900,000. I'd expect those to be at least double her house!

They bought the house 3 years ago for $500,000

Cool view, but I still prefer a view from the parkdeck at most airports . Is cheaper a well .

But there you can get arrested for using one of your six bathrooms.

Yeah, 700K won't get you that much square footage in San Fran.

Property values in the Bay Area are insane. hell the whole coast of CA is obscenly expensive. My grandparents have owned a house in Camarillo for 25 years and the value has sky rocketed int he years they've owned it.

And worst of all for property owners out there, some day it's all going to be rubble after the "Big One."

Well, depends where it is along the fault-line. The 89 earthquake didn't damage much at all in the cities surrounding SFO, but the cities of San Francisco and Oakland got hit pretty bad. For all we know, the "big one" may end up being way down towards LA, or up in northern California.
