Dutch (Flemish): native language
French: studied it for 9 years (plus ou moins fluent)
English: studied it for 5 years (fluent)
German: studied it for 2 years (sehr slecht)
DANISH: Native
ENGLISH: Fluent (British (londoner/northener, thanks to kaddyuk), american, australian and a little danish accent mixed up... )
GERMAN: :lol School-level- I can order items, ask for directions, etc- not necessarily with correct grammar, but people usually understand what I'm saying- and I understand their answers
SWEDISH/NORWEGIAN: Enough
JAPANESE: Uhh very poor... but I can order items, ask/take directions and count
Trust me, this is worse- Switzer-deutch is almost an entirely different language, compared to german- while Jutlandish and Sealandish Danish are just two different dialects
Now, compare Bornholmian Danish to Sealandish Danish, and you almost got another language...
I speak Proper British English - haha, grew up in Trinidad where CXC certification and Advanced Level Certification is required to graduate.
But then again, I grew up in Trinidad where there is the Trini vernacular, so I guess that I speak Trini too (well me eh sure yes, I tink I does speak it wit meh friends an dem!).
Je peut parle francais aussi. La famille de ma mere est francaise.
Pudeo entender espanol tambien, pero tengo mas oppurtunidades de practicar mi espanol aqui en Florida, y es porque, para mi, mi espanol en mejor de mi frances.
I can understand a little bit of hindi, but can hold small conversations in Uttaran (which in India is called Khadiboli). I barely speak it becuase my accent is horrible, and when I go to UP and speak it they mrechants see dollar signs {oh, bad accent = foreigner = up the prices!!!}. I understand a litle bit of Sanskrit, seeing that I use it to pray.
Apart from that, I want to learn so many more. I would love to learn Japanese, and German. All you guys here speak German, is it really difficult?
Really, I will never learn to speak another language. I've tried Spanish and Japanese in school, I cannot pronounce anything in either language without offending everyone who speaks it. In fact, I was kicked out of Japanese because the teacher thought I was being "racist" the way I pronounced words.

Well...that and the time many Japanese students mentioned their grandfather's fighting for Japan in the war, and I mentioned that my grandfather lead a platune(can't spell it) to capture a certian Japanese airfield in the pacific which would later house the famous B-29 "Enola Gay". Whoops.

Well there was a big argument because everyone got offended and I said "You're the ones telling stories about how your grandparents killed American's, I should be the one who's offended." She called my parents and told them that and how I was "making fun" of the language, and I was removed from the class 3 days later. No big deal, Home Ec. was more fun, plus theres tons of free food.
