Emergency service workers rushed to a scene of chaos and destruction Saturday after a highway overpass collapsed north of Montreal.
A large section of the overpass on Boulevard de la Concorde gave out early in the afternoon, crashing onto Highway 19, according to Quebec provincial police.
Five people were taken to hospital. Three of them were listed in critical condition with head injuries, said Andre Champagne, a spokesman for the Urgences-Sante ambulance service.
