    Wow....

The sad part is I bet half of the residents there wouldn't know a real forigen flag from one some kid could stitch together at a summer camp.

On a somewhat related note, someone posted this on another board last night and I found it pretty funny.

i don't understand how something so blatantly unconstitutional can be passed. Where are the courts striking this stuff down?

That is rather extreme...mind you, I think that it's fine to fly a foreign flag in the US as long as you are flying a US flag above it. That's been commonly accepted ettique for years.

When we as Americans start banning foriegn flags, we're no better than the people that burn ours. Whats next? "Down with Mexico" signs painted on buildings like we see the "Down with the US" on TV of Iraq? Sad, very sad indeed that boneheads did this.

why should the US flag have to be above it?

There is a flag code specifying how the flag is flown.

Some people just see the flag as something more than nylon sewn together in a pattern by forced labor in China, I suppose...

I fly a small Indian flag and a US flag in my room...right next to each other, same height.

Why shouldn't there be a flag code? This is the United States. If someone wants to fly a Mexican flag higher than it, then they can go to Mexico and fly it as high as they want to. They shouldn't ban foreign flags alltoghether, but the least the immigrants of any country could do is respect their new homeland by honoring their new homeland's flag.

Why??? This is America, and people can fly whatever flag they want to.
