(OT) I hate laptops when it's not working properly! Any geeks around here ?

Can anyone help with my laptop?

Problem: Just two days ago it had stopped working properly. It's only one huge headache right now. Anyway it's not charging the battery anymore.



The battery is "on". and attached on the bottom. Power line (or whatever) is connected to my laptop. On the process corner of my desktop (right beside the clock) it shows that it is charging!

Could it be that my laptop battery is kaput ?

Yeah. I have tried that. Right now I took it off, cause I'm afraid it might damage the laptop, having a "dead" battery connected while it's powered by AC/DC power plug ???

Could be the battery, charging system, or an error in Windows causing an incorrect info display. I’ve seen all three on laptops were I used to work.

I assume you've tried to turn it on when not plugged into AC power. If the battery is dead, then that rules out a Windows bug.

Just buy a new battery or take it to a local computer shop.
