Hello, regarding my trip to Cali on United i was just wondering what the policy is now of taking a camera on board? I will be taking a Video camera and also my Digital camera with me, so i was wondering, if they do run it through the "scanner" will it do somthing to the camereas or are they relatively safe from the "scanner"....

I just put my stuff though with no problem.
In a related question, is there any reason some airports seem a little more strict with screening of cameras (and other things)? Everytime the stuff goes though YYZ, the case is opened, looked though, and swabbed.. Sometimes they'll take a little longer to look at it on the screen. While every other airport I've been at doesn't say a thing about it. Is that a difference in the xray equipment used that shows more detail of whats inside, or something else? I've always wondered about it
