            Re:

Here in Oklahoma, there is no such thing as weird weather, we may get tornadoes in November, snow in April, and 70's in February and it's all happened before.

Vegas has had more snow than we have this winter so far. Infact, not a single flake has fallen on Sheffield so far this winter, and on the whole it's been pretty mild. I was driving home the other night and it was 13 degrees at 7pm which is well above the average.
This week is the coldest it's been yet so far with temps at 3-4 degrees during the day and the first ice scraping sessions off the car windows in the morning.
Temps are back to 12-14 next week apparently which is above the seasonal normal.

The idea of snow in Las Vegas sounds odd to people because of the fact that it's in the desert. Some people think that deserts are hot and dry year round. When Las Vegas gets heavy rains, it causes flooding in areas that are normally dry washes (Just ask the folks unfortunate to park in some of the lower levels of the Imperial Palace's parking garage during a heavy rainstorm.).

I do have to say it is a surreal sight to be in Vegas and look up on the surrounding mountains and see snow on some of the mountaintops (Like Mt. Charleston) and the temperature in Las Vegas is in the 70s or 80s.
